IndicThreads CommuKnitter award is presented for exemplary work in building technology communities in India.

Vibrant communities are critical for innovation & enterprise to thrive. The IndicThreads CommuKnitter Award is a “thank you” from the community to individuals who put in passion, time, effort & ideas into bringing people together and building communities that benefit everyone. The community work could directly be related to technology or technology centric businesses and products.

The award carries a trophy, a free conference pass and a cash prize of Rs. 2000.


  • Resident of India.
  • 3+ years of community building work.

How To Nominate:

  • Please send an email to with the subject CommuKnitter and details of the community building work done.
  • You can nominate someone else or self-nominate.

Nominations for CommuKnitter Award 2016 close on the 1st April 2016.
